Respect for the environment and its related issues, more relevant than ever in this delicate historical moment, sees Dromos continue the SuonoVerde<\/strong> project in this edition. In close synergy with the municipalities hosting the festival and in compliance with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the project intends to achieve the primary objective of reducing its environmental impact through concrete actions, such as the use of biodegradable tableware, the enhancement of waste sorting, the use of locally sourced food, the reduction of energy consumption, and the increasing use of renewable sources.<\/p>\n\n

These objectives align with the characteristics of the festival’s concerts, which are often created to enhance the value of the locations, typical products, and the food and wine traditions of each territory. Furthermore, for years, the modular stage designs of Dromos\u2014curated by Mattia Enna\u2014have been characterized by the use of recycled and recyclable materials. <\/p>\n\n

The festival also aims to be carbon neutral, meaning it seeks to offset its CO2 emissions. For this reason, it has chosen to become a partner of Treedom, an Italian company that allows trees to be planted in various countries around the world and constantly monitors their growth. <\/p>\n\n

The Dromos forest<\/a> currently consists of 245 trees, which will allow for the offsetting of 88.72 tons of CO2 in their first ten years of life. The environmental impact is also closely linked to the social impact: we protect the environment and support the communities where we plant the trees. <\/p>\n\n

Another front on which we are committed is sustainable mobility, featuring the 100% electric Volkswagen ID.3 as the OFFICIAL TRANSFER of the Festival, kindly provided by Lai Automobili of Oristano.<\/p>\n\n

Suonoverde also includes citizenship education projects for the adoption of sustainable behaviors and lifestyles, collaborating with local organizations attentive to environmental issues. An example is the collaboration with Manifattura M\/U, a historic Sardinian handicraft company that donated mats made from loom processing scraps to the festival, in a full circular economy approach, the proceeds of which went to expand the Dromos forest. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
