Cristiano De André is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, trained in guitar and violin (studied at the “Paganini” Conservatory). After his debut with the band Tempi Duri, he launched his solo career and made his mark at the Sanremo Festival: in 1985 he placed fourth in the Newcomers category with “Bella più di me,” winning the Critics’ Award, and in 1993 he won over the general public with “Dietro la porta” (second place and again the Critics’ Award). Over time, he has released landmark albums in Italian songwriting and collaborated with leading musicians and producers. Since 2009, he has brought to theaters and squares the project “De André canta De André,” a passionate reinterpretation of Fabrizio De André‘s repertoire, which has become a public success with sold-out tours. In 2014, he returned to Sanremo with “Invisibili,” winning the “Mia Martini” Critics’ Award and the “Sergio Bardotti” Award for Best Lyrics. In 2025, he was a guest at the 75th Sanremo Festival, performing a duet with Bresh on “Crêuza de mä.”
