Becca Stevens is a two-time GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, and one of the most original and refined voices on the contemporary scene. Her music, deeply emotional and free from genre boundaries, weaves together Appalachian folk roots, jazz sensibilities, and experimental indie influences, creating a personal, intimate, and surprising sonic language.
Raised in a musical family in North Carolina, Stevens developed a natural relationship with the stage and songwriting from a very young age, building a style over time that combines great technical skill with expressive immediacy. Often compared to figures such as Joni Mitchell and Björk, she has in fact defined a unique artistic identity, capable of influencing an entire generation of musicians open to cross-genre experimentation.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated with prominent artists such as David Crosby, Jacob Collier, Brad Mehldau, and Esperanza Spalding, moving naturally between pop, jazz, and contemporary projects. She is the founder of the Becca Stevens Band and a member of numerous international ensembles, in addition to having developed an intensive path in contemporary classical music and composition for film and theater.
Her latest album, Maple to Paper (2024), represents one of the most intimate and radical works of her career: recorded live in her home studio, with vocals and guitar at the forefront, it is an essential and powerful narrative that explores motherhood, loss, and transformation, offering the listener a deeply authentic experience.
Alongside her artistic activity, Stevens is also a highly regarded educator and mentor, involved in workshops and programs dedicated to songwriting and creative development.
