Fabio Treves is the pioneer of Italian blues. A harmonica player, singer, educator, and tireless ambassador of Mississippi music, he has played a fundamental role in spreading blues culture in Italy, helping to introduce a musical language that in the 1970s was still the domain of a small circle of enthusiasts.
Founder of the Treves Blues Band in 1974, he has built a career spanning over fifty years, becoming a reference figure for entire generations of musicians. Nicknamed the “Puma di Lambrate,” he has always interpreted the blues not just as a musical genre, but as a worldview: music capable of telling stories of freedom, inclusion, solidarity, and the meeting of cultures.
Throughout his extraordinary career, he has collaborated with some of the greatest figures in international blues and rock, including Robben Ford, Charlie Musselwhite, Billy Gibbons, John Popper, James Cotton, Willy DeVille, and Warren Haynes. He is also the only Italian musician to have shared the stage with Frank Zappa. His harmonica has also left its mark on numerous Italian music productions, collaborating with artists such as Angelo Branduardi, Riccardo Cocciante, Roberto Vecchioni, Eugenio Finardi, Ivan Graziani, and Elio e le Storie Tese.
