Mario Biondi is one of the most acclaimed Italian soul and jazz vocalists. Gifted with a warm, deep voice reminiscent of great black voices such as Barry White, Isaac Hayes, and Teddy Pendergrass, he achieved international recognition with the track This Is What You Are, which became a radio success in the United Kingdom as well, thanks to BBC programming.
This success led to the release of Handful of Soul, recorded with the High Five Quintet, which received widespread acclaim from audiences and critics alike. In subsequent years, Biondi consolidated his career with numerous albums and international collaborations, performing at major theaters and festivals and establishing himself as one of the most recognizable Italian voices in contemporary soul and jazz.
