Among the most intense and original voices on the international music scene, Rokia Traoré is an artist capable of crossing geographical and sonic boundaries, blending West African tradition with rock, folk, and contemporary songwriting. A singer-songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, she has built a unique path over the years, recognized globally for its expressive depth and creative freedom.
Her music is both intimate and political: a narrative that delves into roots while looking at the present, addressing themes such as identity, exile, memory, and belonging. The album Né So—among the most representative of her career—powerfully conveys this tension in a delicate balance between acoustic essentiality and emotional intensity.
