Between irony and sincerity, chaos and tenderness, Daoud brings to the stage a music that defies jazz conventions and explores its boundaries. With OK, the new album published by ACT, the artist signs a personal manifesto crossed by tensions and contradictions, in which collapse and repetition are intertwined with the determination necessary to start over.
Enfant terrible of contemporary jazz, Daoud builds a free and unconventional language, capable of speaking as much to the curious as to the most expert enthusiasts. His musical research is accompanied by a raw and provocative visual universe, which embraces fragility, impermanence, and satire, choosing to exalt imperfections rather than hide them.
Live, together with his band, Daoud alternates restrained lyricism and explosive energy, giving life to an unpredictable musical experience, in which playfulness and gravity coexist and every rule can be remade into question.
