One of the most original pianists and composers on the contemporary scene, Tigran Hamasyan has built a unique language that fuses jazz, progressive rock, and Armenian musical tradition. Born in Gyumri in 1987, he began playing at a very young age, establishing himself internationally in the early 2000s through major accolades such as the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition. His music is characterized by strong rhythmic impact, great virtuosity, and a profound spiritual tension.
With Manifeste, Hamasyan continues his artistic journey with a project that combines rhythmic complexity, choral evocations, and a broader, more cinematic sonic dimension. The work unfolds as a journey between energy and introspection, where the roots of Armenian music intertwine with contemporary languages.
